About Terravita
Terravita is the larger of the two planets and is also the hotter of the two.
It is a tropical based planet. The weather is hot and humid, and has a wet season, it rains heavily and regularly almost every day. The daytime temperature rarely falls below 27°C, even in winter and at night. The deserts that lie in the equator are hotter, although the temperature rarely exceeds 38°C.
The Poles of the planet however are covered with ice and very much colder than the humid lands beyond. Temperatures here can vary from -4°C to -30°C in the summer down to -40°C to -97°C in winter. Unlike its smaller sibling planet’s ice covered continents, Terravita’s ice continents are surrounded by a huge ocean which means that it does not receive as much warm water as Terraorbis’ continents do. With most of its area covered with snow and ice, the sun's light is reflected causing even more loss of heat as well as the dryness of the air. During the winter, the size of the continents doubles as the sea water freezes bringing a larger wall of ice to the already chilly region.
The Planet’s magical field is rather strong and probably helps to stop gravity from pulling the Twin Planets together, causing global catastrophe.
The Tropical planet is also home to brightly coloured creatures as well as rather suntanned Mages.
