The depth and detail of these races is far too vast for this website alone so this is just a quick overview for each of them.
Crysans are Human-like Crystal Beasts that have elemental abilities as well as the power to transform into an animal or “Beast’ form.
The General term Crystal Beast can be used for many creatures throughout the planets but the term Crysan is used only for a set species.
All Crystal Beasts have an internal Power Stone which can be used to activate powers to defend or attack.
These Power Stones are created when a large amount of magic is released and fuses and hardens into a stone. These occur naturally and can be dug up or can be created by skilled creatures or Mages.
In Crystal Beasts the stone fuses with the bone and internal organs often inside the ribcage making them able to withstand larger injuries as well as the ability to use magic.
There are a wide variety of creatures that can be classed as Crystal Beast including Lavidra, Fuzzel, Draylo and the mythical Pyaon.Crysans live throughout the Twin Planets and before the tragic destruction of the 3rd planet; Terradraca. Most of the Crysans inhabit a set area ruled over by a governing body of their beast form’s species.
Crysans live along side humans and although at first persecuted are now mostly accepted by the general human population.
The Beast form is not random but is inherited from parents. Cross breeding with another sub species or anything other than a Crysan of same beast form was considered terrible crime. Due to this cross breeds are extremely rare.
However Crysans have become a little more relaxed to cross breeding however it is still considered a taboo. What turns on this ability to transform is unknown, even by Crysans themselves but as the leading Crysan Researcher Prof. Clark says ‘If its not broke, don’t bother trying to fix it’.
Each Crysan has a Beast form. As such each of the different types of animals that they can transform into are referred to as subspecies.
There are 11 known sub-species of Crysan at this time.
Cervidae, Equine, Panthera, Felinae, Serpentes, Caviidae, Drago, Ursine, Sus scrofa, Canine and Lutrinae
Lavidra are a warrior species bred by royalty to help the land. They have become a symbol of power and strength.
A Lavidra has its own skills, abilities or element. Some have inherited abilities from their parents or grandparents.
Highly intelligent and loyal they are found throughout the Twin Planets. Some many have spread throughout the void and maybe to other worlds.
Lavidra are also known for their wise outlook on life. When they go to war, they are determined; not to win, but to end the fighting. They are fierce warriors who use their intelligence and skills to bring peace.
They celebrate every festival and ceremony with all of their heart, and frequently set out on quests in times of peace.
Once there was a great city in the Desert of Naorhu. With shinning great walls and beautiful architecture. These belonged to the people of Ba-ow-ha; a Tribe of 2 legged fennec-like peoples.
They worshiped the great Naorha; the Lady of the Desert, whose fickle rage could destroy their way of life.
Soon the Worlds War began and the terra planets were all at war. The Ba-ow-ha were the leading culture and their skills were used to create weapons of terrible power. Due to this they began to ignore the Goddess Naorha, concentrating on their weapons rather than their worshiping of her. Naorha forgave them though, they would come back to her after this new pesky planet had been dealt with.
However with this new contact with the rest of the terra planets the Ba-ow-ha soon discovered new weapons, learnt new skills and found new Gods.
The Ba-ow-ha begin to worship Bahari; the goddess of the sea and her mate Aeris.
In return a magical spring of water formed in their lands. The water from this spring gave the tribe seemingly never ending supply of water and would replenish a thirsty creature with a single drop.
With this many new creatures flocked to the spring. With them were what looked like babies; tiny 4 legged fennecs. These were discovered to distant ancestors. The tiny creatures were greeted with a mixed response; some people thought they were a good luck omen. Others felt it strange that such undeveloped creatures were distantly related to them.
The small fennecs were allowed into the city and slowly people began to tolerate them. Some Ba-ow-ha even put food out for them. They were named Tenay-Ctoyu; Tiny cousins.
The Ba-ow-ha began to thrive. They began trading and were fast becoming a huge international power. The Tenay-Ctoyu were seen as a sign of hope, joy and good fortune. They mixed power stones with the Spring water and decorated them with it in permanent designs. Some Ba-ow-ha even added the dye to themselves to show how powerful and rich they were.
Angered by the lack of worshipers and the good fortune, Naorha became jealous of the Ba-ow-ah and began to undo Bahari’s powers.
Slowly the water began to dry up, little-by little. It wasn’t noticed at first until a young Ba-ow-ah child called Baha pointed it out.
He was only laughed at. This good fortune would never come to an end.
After a while it became apparent that the spring was drying up alittle. Many Ba-ow-ha became afraid but it was considered a sin to leave the city. Those who moved out were seen as too weak to live in the desert.
The lack of water caused mass revolts. Crime and disease hit the city and trading was put to an end. Those Ba-ow-ha who tried to leave the city were executed.
The Tenay-Ctoyu had lost their appeal. Many were killed and eaten as the Ba-ow-ha became desperate. They could not leave the city; it was unthinkable to do so.
A few Tenay-Ctoyu were left in the temple. These were sacred and represented the balance of the world and the Hopes of the people. To hurt them was almost unthinkable too. However soon the un-thinkable was becoming thinkable.
More riots occurred. The streets became cluttered with dead bodies. The handful of Ba-ow-ha that were left were told to leave. Many refused. 6 left of their own accord the other 10 stayed. The youngest called Baha, still only a child, had refused to go. It was a sin to leave, he parroted, having been drilled into his head from a very young age.
The High Priest gave the last of the water to the pup. He asked Baha to go to Bahari to ask her to replenish the supply. Baha set off travelling to the sea, little knowing that the tribal leader and tricked him into leaving so that he would not die of thirst. Baha had no idea of this and continued to travel to save his friends and family little knowing they were already dead.
The Last 2 Ba-ow-ha and the high priest gave the last of the water to the temple Tenay-Ctoyu and let them go free. They had been a show of their hope. And now there was no hope left…
