The Races of the Twin Planets have a variety of gods; each Race may have different Gods that they may worship more than the others. However The Dark One is never worshiped (at lest not in public) and it is considered a crime to utter His name.
Aeris is a gentle Goddess of the winds and sky. She can control both the light breezes that flow through the grasses and the destructive winds that can destroy forests. Due to this, although calm and kind, she can quickly turn into a Goddess of devastation.
Her mate is Bahari the ocean Goddess. Together many a sailors life hangs in the balance. If angered, together they can create typhoons, whirlpools and maelstroms bringing down whole fleets at their will.
One day many, many years ago, Aeris was flying in the sky and looked around her. She was the only creature in the sky. Aeris flew over the land and saw the creatures running and crawling along.
“How boring” she thought. Aeris summoned her powers and gave the birds and some of the animals wings so that they could fly in the sky with her. With the last of her powers she sealed then into a huge Air Crystal. The powers were so immense that the crystal shattered into Power Stones. Aeris scattered them across the twin planets so that other animals who had missed out on her gift of wings would have a chance to fly.
Bahari controls the sea and waters of the rivers. Bahari helps to replenish the lakes and rivers along with her mate Aeris. Bahari too has left Power Stones so that her element is able to be used by those not blessed with aquatic powers.
There once was a time when all that existed on The Twin Planets was the Sky and the Ocean. Akhenko-Helios ruled the sky with is bright fiery form alighting the sky. Aeris the Lady of the Winds, skipped across the Oceans. Bahari the Lady of the Sea danced with Aeris, her waves crashing and foaming as they danced together.
Akhenko-Helios fell in love with the two Goddesses. Day after day he would watch them play together and wished that he could make them his brides.
He asked of Aeris, for she was closest to him, But the Lady of the Skies refused. She was wild and did not wish to be tamed.
Akhenko-Helios was saddened by this and wept. Bahari, on feeling his tears falling into her domain, accepted.
Bahari pregnant by Akhenko-Helios and was soon the child was ready to be born.
But the Lady of the Winds pointed out that their child would have nowhere to go; For the sky was full and Bahari filled the rest of the world with her oceans.
The child was born; another Goddess. Bahari worried for her child, asked if the young Goddess could live in her sky. However as much as they would like to the young Goddess was too heavy. Bahari had no choice but to balance her daughter on her stomach.
Her Father’s rays kept the young Goddess warm and Aeris’ winds kept her from becoming scorched. Her Mother gave her moisture and soon the young Goddess grew.
Trees and flowers began to appear on her body and animals made her their home. The young Goddess became an adult and nurtured the life living on her.
The creatures living on her gave her many names; Etyhne, Hoylenerah and Seuth. However they all agreed on one. She became known as the Earth Mother to all creatures.
